Stagnant water live rock

Postby pro2see1 » Fri Jul 31, 2020 8:17 pm

I have a few pieces of live rock that ended up in stagnant water for some time. I emptied out the water rinsed the rock with new water. Then I put it in a bucket of water with pump circulating the water. I have done a 100% water changes twice in last couple weeks. My question is can this rock be used in my tank or no? Thank you for any advice.

Continue curing till it doesn't smell and the water parameters are safe.

If you have an extra piece from your tank it would do it good to put it with it for a few weeks too

Thank you guys. The water parameters look good except for phosphate is high. There has been no ammonia for the last few weeks since I started moving water around and the couple of water changes.
