Tanks 30 gallons to 79 gallons

Tercel94 75g build thread

Hi all,

I think is time for a build thread on my upgrade from 16g to a 75g.
It all started with a 60 gallons tank, after noticing that it was going to be hard to find a sump to fit under the 60g stand (less than 10" clearance) I decided to get a 75g which was the size I wanted from the beginning. I got the 75g and a 30g sump from Denisse and the new stand from tiki (I love the stand).
As for now I think Im only missing salt and sand to start filling the tank up and later I need to upgrade the lights.
Here are a few pics:
This is the 16g tank. This Nuvo 16 as been up and running for a year now.

This was the 60g tank and stand (Thanks to Craig)

I did an acid bath to the rock and it has been curing for 3 weeks now.

Love the carbon fiber look hahaha

After cleaning the tank and sump I did a leak test in my front porch and everything went great.

Here is the tank inside the house. Still dont know if Im going to keep the canopy.

Pluming. One 1.5" overflow to a 1 inch bulkhead and then split into two drains, one for refugium and one for skimmer. Return is a 3/4" flex tube with a check valve, in the future I might change it to pvc if I decide to add any reactors. Return pump is on the way and it going to be a Quiet One 4000.

 It is a really nice unit for the price, and customer service is great. Glad I could be of some help, and the new tank is looking good.
My wife says I have a problem. I responded by saying "if I could seal all the doors and windows, I would just fill the whole house with water".

WOW! Nice upgrade!

That stand rocks. Really sharp.

Now that you put on your big boy pants and got rid of that 16g. :D You can start spending some real money.

Let me know if you want some help, I would gladly tell you my sad stories.

Congrats & good luck!

Now start looking for some lights.
