Another 180

Hi all

so I finally made my move to Port St Lucie, FL last August and am settling in. Damn it's HOT and HUMID EVERY SINGLE DAY and NIGHT!

The reef club down here is the worst I've seen, people just don't chat and post so I'm gonna hang here, lol

i finallllyyyy was able to get a tank after the birth of my baby boy a month ago and just so happened upon a free 180 and stand!

Picked it up today did a water test and everything looks good. So I'll be repainting and cleaning this thing to get this setup ASAP. No hood so I'll be building one unfortunately.

Thanks! It's gonna be a bit slow getting getting it together. Not a fan of the wood grain trim tanks but I'll prolly try to paint over it

What type of paint did you use on your stand?

Spray paint... it sounds crazy, but several light coats of a high quality spray paint works awesome... I have done 3 or 4 stands that way...

Also, tape the tank off, lightly sand the wood trim on the tank and spray that as well... I have done a couple and it works great

Thanks. Saw the spray paint but wanted more color options, so got some glidden semi gloss fossil grey and fl going to make the bottom trim of the stand and some trim around the tank itself eggshell white.

Found the date made sticker July 22, 1996... no wonder it has wood grain as I figured it was an older tank. But it looks really good for 20 years old and it was free so not complaining too much

Bleaching rock. Had a sizable crab float up, red and white speckled with black claws. Should have taken a pic before I threw it.
