Well I thought I already started one of these. But I cant find it. Or my phones acting ignorant. The plan is to do a nice picasso pair of clowns, Light clean up crew of mostly snails, and lots of zoas.

Looks great! Also the forum went down for a little while a short time ago and it seems quite a few posts were lost.

How longs that been up? Looks great. I almost went back t5 but for ease threw the prime on. What's the bio load and do you find the skimmer necessary?

Tank has been up for about a year and a half. Tank had a higher bioload for about 8 months with a baby purple tang, coral beauty, and a melanarus wrasse, but now is down to just the baby tang for the moment until I get my next tank up later this year. So very little bioload at the moment. The skimmer is kinda unnecessary especially now since I have a fuge on it that is growing well. T5s just really get the job done. I have a Gen4 XR15 Pro in the closet I was tempted to try at some point possibly.Image

What kind of setup are you running the chaeto in? I'd prefer to stay light bio load and not run a skimmer.

Not using any kind of insert. Just stuck a ball of chaeto in there and lighting it with a cheap 12w Acke light from Amazon. Just used a piece of filter pad to make sure it all stays put. I like the skimmer since it does add some oxygen back into the tank volume, but yeah kinda pointless. That said it does pull out some nasty crud surprisingly. Image
